Sergey Petrossov: The CEO of JetSmarter

Sergey Petrossov has won the Forbes under 30 award in Consumer Technology. He is South Florida’s Top Working Professional. Having co-founded two IT projects, he seeks ways to innovate industries, Sergey Petrossov also founded an online chat system for website consumer service as well as a distance learning platform for educational institutions that speak Russian. He has served as a board advisor to a South Florida-based private jet operator. His company, JetSmarter, is a South-Flordia based private jet operator who at the time, had the world’s largest Gulfstream charter fleet. JetSmarter’s beta testing began in August 2012, as a proof of concept for select users.

Sergey Petrossov flew on a private jet for the first time in 2009 and was surprised by the luxury of it as well as the process of booking it. He was inspired to start JetSmarter, the Uber of the skies, using a mobile app so people all over the planet can book a flight. Having 14,000 paid members paying up to $15,000 for perks such as the ability to schedule a flight while sharing seats on jets scheduled by another person, Sergey Petrossov created a unique product that has caused a revolution in his industry.

The Saudi royal family and Jay-Z have invested in JetSmarter, which is valued at $1.5 billion. Petrossov founded his company through great struggle building it but also with great hopes for where it will lead him. He also offers tips on how to be a successful entrepreneur with a youthful appearance. He has been an entrepreneur since his teens because in high school he wanted to start an import-export business for automobile tire rims. The private jet scene was old-fashioned in that analog was used which required calling to book a flight or to sign papers. JetSmarter offers many ways to fly.
