At some point in our lives, we need encouragement to hack the challenges we encounter. There is a need to stay motivated. Vijay Eswaran is among the individuals who are known for their success in motivational speaking. He has a way to drive points home. He is also the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the QI Group of Companies.
Vijay Eswaran in his article, “3 Ways Fear Drives Success” discusses fear from a very interesting angle. Unlike people who are always condemning the spirit of fear, he believes that at some point, we all require little fear to remind us of the important things we possess in life. Here are the three points he drives home;
Fear is Excitement in Disguise
In this point, he explains that what we feel is based on the lens that we chose to view the world from. He expounds saying that when we are young, we are less afraid but as we grow up, the fear piles up and we get so many layers of fear. He advises us to wipe the layers and see clearly through the lenses.
What Doesn’t Paralyze You, Energizes You
Vijay Eswaran says that if we look back, we realize that in most instances that we have been afraid, we were about to pursue something big in our life. Something life-changing. He, therefore, says that fear is a sign that we are on the right path of our life. In fact, he says that if you make a decision that doesn’t stir up any fear in you, there is a need to revisit the decision.
Fear is a Great Motivator for Growth
Vijay says that people are wired to protect their familiarity. They want to stay in their comfort zone. Unless you let go; you’ll never know what is on the other side of fear. You might let go, fall and crash, or fly. The best thing is that either way, you don’t remain where you were; you end up in some new place.
